I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge

Oops ! I should have posted this yesterday and it clean went out of my head ! So, as the saying goes, better late than never ! It's time for another challenge over on I ♥ ProMarkers, and for me it's the last one for a while. I've got a heavy workload for the next few months so I'm having to scale my crafting back quite considerably. So onto this week's challenge which is Pearls and Swirls and is being sponsored by Pollycraft. There are 5 images up for grabs too !


The image I've used is called Shona Snow Day and has been shaded with PM's. I've then cut the image out with my new Labels 14 Nestabilities, then sponged some Weathered Wood DI around the edge. I've used a Versamark pen and white embossing powder around the edge of the larger shape. The background has been made using the Polka Dots background stamp from Stampin' Up. I've used white embossing powder and then rubbed Adirondack Stonewashed ink over the top.



The snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch and the swirls are a Sizzlet die which I've added some stickles to.

E is for .......

We've reached the letter 'E' over at ABC Challenge and so this time we would like to see an Easel card. The sponsor for this challenge is Secret Crafter.

For my card I decided to use some Paper Artsy stamps which I've had for a while but not really used that much. I started by stamping the bird with Shabby Shutters DI and then clear embossing it. I stamped around the edge with Bundled Sage and the cut it out with a Nestability and blended some more DI around the edge. The background panel is made with Bundled Sage DI and Rusty Hinge DI. I've stamped the images with Bundled Sage and the words with Shabby Shutters DI.



The bottom panel is made in the sage way, blending Bundled Sage over the card first of all then adding some Rusty Hinge around the edges.

I love the colours of Autumn and they inspired me to make the above card. I look forward to seeing your Easel cards.

Passion for ProMarkers

It's time for another challenge over on Passion for ProMarkers and it's my turn to set the challenge. So this week we would like to see Vintage or Shabby Chic. The sponsor for this week is Joanna Sheen and the prize is a £10 voucher.


The main image I've used is from an Aspects of Design stamp set and I used a technique that I saw in the latest Craft Stamper magazine. I've used the Ice Greys and instead of a blender pen, which the instructions said to use, I used blending solution as I don't have a blender pen. It still worked quite well and I was pleased with the overall result.


The side panel is made using a Tim Holtz die cut as a mask then sponging Weathered Wood DI over the top. The mesh stamp is a Paper Artsy stamp, stamped with Faded Denim DI. The text stamp is En Francais from Stampin' Up, again stamped with Weathered Wood DI.



The flower is a free stamp that came with an edition of Craft Stamper and I've used it to make the background as well as stamping it and cutting it out and the brad is a filigree from Stampin' Up.

Everything's all white !

Something a little different tonight, I don't think I've ever made an all white card before and I have to say that I was itching to smooch some Distress Ink around the edges ! The image is from Inklined and is one of the freebie images that they give away. I've shaded it with ProMarkers and then cut it out with one of my new Nestability sets (which I can't remember the name of, and as they're upstairs and I'm not I'll have to update this entry another time). I've threaded some white satin ribbon through the punched border.


I've punched out lots of snowflakes using a Martha Stewart punch and added a little gem to the one on the corner of the image.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges :

Well we've been busy decorating and although it's not quite finished we're nearly there. The really annoying thing is that we've run out of emulsion and we've only got a small area to do, but we 're going to have to buy another pot, and they don't do it in a small size !

Passion for ProMarkers challenge

It's Tuesday so that means it's time for another challenge over on Passion for ProMarkers. This week the challenge is to make your own flowers. The sponsor for this week is Emma's Crafty Store and the prize is a pack of 5 AquaMarkers.






I've had to go for a simple card this week as we're in the middle of decorating and the house is upside down at the moment ! Fortunately, we didn't bury my lap top....lol........

The image that I've used is from a Stampin' Up set called Bloomin' with Beauty which I've stamped in black Stazon onto water colour paper. I've then used Aquamarkers to shade the image and cut it out using Labels 16 Nestabilities. The paper is from a Papermania pad and I've done some faux stitching around the edge.



The flower is a Sizzix Bigz die and I've tipped the largest flower with Faded Denim DI. The centre flower is a punch and I've added some pearls.

Hopefully we'll be a little straighter next week so I can spend some quality time in my craft room. I definitely need to tidy it up first though, it looks like a bomb's hit it !

I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge

This week over on I ♥ ProMarkers we have a sketch and a theme for you. The sketch is below and the theme is 'rip it up', we want to see some tearing on your work. The sponsor for this challenge is Simon Says Stamp.

For my card I used a Tanda Stamp image which has been shaded with Promarkers then cut out using an oval deckle edged Nestability. I've blended some Faded Denim DI around the edge. The papers are Stampin' Up, except the torn piece which is from a K&Co pad.


The embossed panel is made using the Victoria EF then I've used Weathered Wood and Faded Denim to blend over the top.

The sentiment is a stamp I've had in my stash for years and is one of my favourites, but I don't know who it's by ! I've used a scalloped circle Nestability to cut it out and Faded Denim around the edge.

ABC Challenge D is for ....

The next letter in the alphabet over on the ABC challenge is D, and for this letter we would like to see some distressing. The stamps that I've used are from Aspects of Design, from the Butterfly Beauties set. I've stamped the images with black Archival ink and then blended Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Mustard Seed DI over the card.


I've distressed the edges of the main image and used a Stampin' Up punch down the side. The flower is a Sizzix Bigz die and the centre flower is a small flower punch. The swirls are cut using a shapeability die.

Passion for ProMarkers Challenge

It's time for another challenge over on Passion for ProMarkers and this week we have a photo for your inspiration. So anything goes as long as you use your ProMarkers or AquaMarkers and use the photo for your inpiration ! Easy !


The sponsor for this week's challenge is Sugar Nellie and the prize is 3 stamps of your choice.


For my card I've used the Sugar Nellie image called Upside Down and I've shaded her with AquaMarkers then cut the image out with Labels 8 Nestabilities. I then used Spun Sugar DI to shade some white card then I used the Polka Dot Stampin' Up background stamp using Worn Lipstick DI.

The background paper is from my stash and it was an odd piece I had left so, apologies, I don't know who it's by. I zipped around the edge with my sewing machine. The flowers are a Woodware punch and the leaves a Martha Stewart.


Well if I were to say I'm glad to be back from my holiday my nose would grow exceedingly large ! So instead I'll say it's good to be crafting again, which it is.

I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge

It's time for another challenge over on I ♥ ProMarkers and this week we're looking for some transport ! So for the challenge we would like to see some sort of transport image on your creations. The sponsor for this challenge is Letraset. The image I've used is from Delicious Doodles, I love these cars and I would to have a go in one....you can always dream ! I've used the outside the frame technique for the image and cut it out using Labels one Nestabilies. The map paper is K&Co.



I've made the background by scoring lines on some card at 1cm intervals then I've blended Tea Dye and Vintage Photo DI over the top. The poppers are Tim Holtz Ideaology, the ribbon is Stampin' Up Grosgrain.

Passion for ProMarkers Challenge

The image that I've used is from Isabella's Sketchbook and I've shaded it with a mixture of Aquamarkers and ProMarkers. For the centre background piece I've used Shabby Shutters DI then I've stamped small cupcakes with the same ink.




The papers are all My Minds Eye and I've used a Fiskars edge punch and added some small pearls. The sentiment is from the same set at the cupcake stamp.

I ♥ ProMarkers Challenge

This week over on I ♥ ProMarkers we would like to see some mythical and magical creations. The sponsor for this challenge is Joanna Sheen. The style I've used for this card is a Funky Fold which I found here. It was so easy to do and I was really pleased with the end result ! The main image is from a Tandastamp set and it's been stamped with black Memento then shaded with ProMarkers. I've added some Glossy Accents to the bubbles but it doesn't really show up on the photo.


All of the background paper has been made with Weathered Wood and Faded Denim DI then I've used a Crafty Individuals swirl stamp and stamped with Adirondack Slate ink. The stars are from my stash as is the strip of small stars.

ABC Challenge - C is for Charms

It's time for another challenge over on ABC Challenge and this time we would like to see a charm or charms, on your work. The sponsor for this challenge is Zoebunny.

I started by blending Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint DI over some white card then stamped using a Serendipity stamp using black Archival ink. I've used Labels 4 Nestabilities to cut out the image. The background is made using Bundled Sage DI and I've then stamped with the same ink using a border stamp from an Artemio Christmas stamp set.



The background paper is Basic Grey and the ribbon and charm are from my stash. Quite simple, but I liked it as I like to see the backgrounds and I thought the border set the main image off quite nicely !

I'm hoping that the scheduler is working as I'm actually in northern France at the moment !
